2007 & 2008 - Choreographer Jennie Creer-King, 2010 - Youth Dance Group

Provo Civic Ballet Academy was established in 2009 by company director, Jennie Creer-King.  PCB is a pre-professional company that mentors dancers ranging in age from 13 to 19 in an intensive environment reflecting a professional classical company or University setting.

PCB trains dancers in daily ballet technique, pointe/variations, jazz, modern, contemporary and rehearsals that prepare for concerts and outreach programs.

There is an emphasis in choreography that reflects the wide range of classical ballet repetoire including the re-staged classics as well as original work from both locally and nationally based choreographers.

Artistic Director, Jennie Creer-King believes that with a trainee program that works directly with the needs of the individual dancer the opportunities to successfully move into a professional opportunity or a strong university program is very high.  The PCB program offers young artists an understanding of the intense passion and commitment combined with artistic and technical excellence that is key to developing artists that will be successful and contribute the the arts.

This transition is offered to the dancers with high quality training, performances with choreography that matters, audition including resume’, audition videos’, emotional support, guest teachers, guest choreographers, organized rehearsals, and personal interviews through out the season.
